I dedicated the first days of the New Year to finish my new Skye Terrier ceramics. It took me two days to apply colors and then they were ready to go into the kiln for the last time. The morning I took them out the sun was specially cozy coming trough a window and I couldn’t help but contemplate the new sculptures for la long time that day. They are small, but looked impressive and alive. I tried to capture some photos of the pieces and tried to capture my emotions while looking at them. It has been a challenge to sculpt a breed that you normally do not see their eyes and still be able to capture so much life in them. I was really satisfied with the outcomes and I simple want to share these with you.
The dropped eared one is still AVAILABLE and a new series of Skyes is on the way. One of them is already reserved. You may want to keep an eye and prompt if you see something that you’d like to take home.
Each of these pieces is hand-sculpted in clay and fired in a ceramic kiln 3 times. The color is given with ceramic processes.
